How it works

Here is how a care home starts with GotHuman Companion, step by step. Where GotHuman Companion is open, the first three steps are there for you to follow. The last one isn't open anywhere yet.

1. Set up your care home

Someone at the home, usually the manager, creates an account. You add the home's name and where it is, then each site and the staff who work there.

2. Get verified

Our team checks who you are and that the home is registered with the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). We may write to you if we need more.

3. Add your residents

You add each resident, with a record of their consent. Where someone else decides for a resident, you record the authority that person holds. You can type residents in one at a time, or import them from a CSV file.

4. Book visits, later

Booking visits isn't open yet, and nothing takes payment. When it is, you'll choose when a companion visits and what they do together.

Continuity

We try to keep the same companion for each resident, but we can't guarantee it.
