Accessibility
Everyone should be able to use GotHuman Companion, including older people, people using assistive technology, and busy staff using a phone.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, on every page of the public site and the care home portal.
What we test
- Automated checks. We run axe on every page, in light and dark.
- The keyboard. Every page can be used without a mouse, with a clear focus ring that shows where you are.
- Zoom. Pages work at 200% zoom, and reflow to a narrow screen without scrolling sideways.
- Dark mode. Both colour schemes meet the contrast we need, and you can choose between them at the foot of any page.
We also keep text at a readable size, make buttons and links large enough to press, and say what a status means in words, never in colour alone.
What we can't promise
Automated checks don't find everything. If we've missed something, we want to hear about it.
Tell us about a problem
Write to us at support@gothuman.org. Tell us the page, what you were using (a screen reader, say, or a phone), and what went wrong. Please don't include personal details. We will reply and tell you what we will do about it.
